Light

Last night we had no streetlights in our cul de sac, and in the street leading up to it, so it was very very dark outside. Mum couldn't even take the recycling out, as she was worried she would trip and fall down the steps, even with a torch.

She emailed the council, and they said they would talk to the lighting people, who came around within an hour. However she said, she thinks they just changed the lightbulb outside our house. So mum is wondering what will happen tonight, especially as she is on call. She has got her torch ready, in case she has to go out.

  5. She'll have to prepare a route in the daylight hours and practice walking it a few times. That way, if the lights are out, she'll know what to expect. We don't want your mum to end up being a patient! And you, precious, had better stay close to home.

  6. Wow, someone was there within an hour! That's pretty good. Sometimes it takes forever to get things done in our town. We hope the lights are fixed for tonight!
